Now do I think he may have been able to avoid the whole situation? Yes, and I would strongly advise that.
But when it comes down to it, Perry was doing nothing illegal and was threatened by violent people with firearms. Whether or not he could have avoided the whole situation (and I always recommend that, if at all possible) is NOT the issue. The BLM goons were in the wrong, here.
