Democrats are

a bit worried about PA. And they should be. Folks, don’t be discouraged!

Yes, yes, Democrat voter fraud may well turn the tide for them. This time. But then again, maybe not…

Important to note: These voters have not changed personally, but their parties have done so. Democrats have abandoned their working-class voters for college-educated elites who rarely call the middle of somewhere home.

… When social issues such as gender politics and a wide-open border became part of the Democrats’ party platform, those issues became bridges too far. Blue-collar voters became willing to leave the party altogether, especially after Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) made it efficient when he implemented a new measure that allowed residents getting driver’s licenses and ID cards to be opted into their voter registration.

… No matter what, the elections here are going to be close for the U.S. Senate, for president, for bragging rights in the state’s congressional delegation, and for the already closely divided state House and State Senate. Either way, these numbers have to be worrisome for Democrats if the erosion continues.

Famous militant atheist

says that christianity is good!

But please, don’t be fooled. Dawkins is not saying that Christianity is true or that there is a God or anything even remotely like that. He is merely saying that the structures of Christianity are good for society. In other words, Christianity without Christ. It is purely instrumental for him.

And, while his conversation on LBC is a move in the right direction, it’s clear that he continues to fail to realize that he subscribes to the same “cafeteria” Christianity promoted by President Biden in the U.S.

Dawkins wants to inhabit a “limited, modified hangout” in regards to Christianity. But I’m not at all sure that makes any logical sense. And Dawkins knows better. So, of Christ, which is it? Is it liar, lunatic, or Lord?

And the empty tomb is a real problem for Dawkins and other atheists. Because how do you explain it? Who had both the motive and ability to do it?

It’s a good question.

At some point the wiggin’ out Trump hatred is just not enough

I guess we’ll see if we are there yet. I think we are.

Trump is

just WAY more aligned with the concerns of the common man than is Biden!

Culture has indeed

changed. 30 years ago, the “rebels” were punk rockers and rock stars in general, especially more hard rockers and the musical “movers.” Think of “Queen.”

But now most of those folks are servile suck-ups. Billy Idol is charging per sneer, selling out to the highest bidder. Queen is now elevator music. Maybe Black Sabbath is the music of graham cracker commercials.

Virtually all pop “stars” now put out pure pablum, meant to offend no one–and is therefore so bland and insipid that a lot of younger people are into 80s music now–because modern pop sucks.

(As an aside, my son was a sophomore in college and called me saying, “I just found an awesome 80s group I had never heard of–have you ever heard of ‘Pink Floyd?'”)

But Pink Floyd is no more. There is just the googley-eyed anti-Semitism of Roger Waters.

Now I will admit–virtually all rap leaves me cold. And much of rap is unbelievably vulgar. I really don’t (generally) like it.

But let’s be honest, there is no “rebel” group of performers today like rap artists. They are the spiritual descendants of the original punkers.

And for THAT I tip my hat to them…

The culture

does indeed shift.

Things, they are a-changing!

In 2020, President Joe Biden received support from rap stars like Cardi B and Snoop Dogg, but both celebrities have distanced themselves from the unpopular incumbent as he and Trump head toward a rematch. More and more recording artists are going negative on Biden, including 50 Cent, Meek Mill, and Ice Cube, and a surprising number of their peers are openly endorsing Trump as he campaigns for a second term in office.

Are we seeing

a cultural change, here? In the past, political spouses did not get heckled. Mainly because they were careful to shy away from politics when speaking in public.

Culture Introspection Lefty Rigidity

“Woke” and the

tantruming young Left have utterly killed comedy. And their music stinks, too–because a group like “The Clash” could NEVER do a song like Rock The Casbah anymore.

The blistering force of rebellion that drove Punk Rock is dead, and now Billy Idol is a snarling act for the company Workday (who?). Gee, I wonder what he got paid per fake snarl…

All that is left is the groveling kowtow pablum of trained monkeys, singing and dancing and doing comedy at the end of strings held by their societal masters, while touching their foreheads to the ground in a show of lickspittle, servile deference.

Flash forward to 2024, when a very large portion of the population is most definitely not ever in it for the fun. Woke leftism is so twisted that it manages to turn young people into bitter, pinched, “Get off my lawn!” types. They actually seek to be offended.

… Comedy has nothing to do with “community values” because, as I mentioned earlier, it’s subjective. Often, at its best, stand-up is uncomfortable as hell but still makes people laugh because it’s cathartic. These people don’t want catharsis, because there’s a level of introspection involved in that. [emphasis added]

Culture Satire

Oh Babylon Bee,

how’d you get to be so dang clever and funny?

See, the thing with satire is that it has to relate to how things actually are. Then reality is twisted into humor, but reality is the base ingredient for ALL humor, and that is especially the case with satire. Without that rootedness in reality, it’s just not humor at all.

THAT’s why Leftists hate humor so! They are WAY too insecure, their positions too redolent of cold showers and leftover peas to actually laugh much. No surprise there–it’s very Germanic of them!
