In grad school I had a buddy get all enamored with Rogerian psychotherapy. He went on and on about what a beautiful theory it was. He read volume after volume of Carl Rogers. Later, he went to a practicum work setting with a long time therapist. He excitedly told the old hand about this wonderful, wonderful theory.
The old psychologist sighed, looked at him, and said,“Yeah, it’s pretty and all, but it just don’t work…”
It is the same thing with these wide-eyed Lefty simpletons. Yeah, it’s a beautiful theory, but it really don’t work.
