some of the things we trusted have turned out to be FAR from trustworthy. So NOW we are realizing that we have to be much more selective and discerning.

Darwinian Evolution

The usual

biological evolution arguments are falling more and more flat to me.

As I have learned more and more about statistics and probability, I have become less and less convinced by the Darwinian Evolution argument, as prominent and orthodox as it is in academic circles.

Understand well that this is NOT an objection based on religious beliefs. Indeed, any such beliefs are totally unrelated to my objections.

Nor is this a facile “God in the box” sort of reasoning, that because A is not true, B must be. No, I’m not saying that at all.

What I AM saying is that A simply doesn’t work. See, the orthodox Darwinian Evolution explanation just can’t explain what needs to be explained. The math doesn’t work.

There is always a defense by Darwinian (or more technically, Neo-Darwinian) advocates to buttress their arguments by saying, “Yeah, but with millions and millions of years it could happen by chance alone.”

But no, no it couldn’t. The age of the universe itself is far too short for entirely random changes in millions of species! That dog just don’t hunt. And if evolution is directed, it is not Darwinian evolution. I mean, directed by whom?

Nor will some species of deistic evolution solve it (though that is an argument for another day).

So, I am left with calling this a fantasy. Why? Because I am a scientist. So I need to look for other explanations!

Liars

Well, Kinzinger

is a known liar, so this is pretty par for the course…

It’s worth noting that this is the second time that Kinzinger has gone to bat for Epps.

But of course Kinzinger defends Epps. They bat for the same team!

Why is a congressman who served on the January 6th committee outright lying about something that is so obviously true? The videos of Epps are not new and have been circulating since 2021. He clearly and unambiguously incited the riot and the entry into the Capitol Building. In fact, when you watch the different clips of him, he seems to be very well rehearsed in what he’s saying and doing.

… None of that makes any sense unless you begin to think the worst, which is that the government was involved. But hey, I’m sitting here typing this, willing to hear a reasonable explanation for why Epps was ignored by the committee and has never been arrested. If Kinzinger has one, he’s welcome to share it because lying about what happened isn’t convincing anyone.

St. Louis lawyer Mark McCloskey will not have his guns or the fines he paid returned to him even though he received a governor’s pardon in 2021, a Missouri judge has ruled.

… Circuit Judge Joan Moriarty rejected the request on Dec. 28, saying that the governor’s pardon doesn’t have any impact on the plea agreement the couple had agreed to.

Let’s just see how things work out…

“Why is corporate journalism rushing to defend the state instead of the people?” Musk wrote on Twitter on Dec. 27, in response to a tweet from journalist and documentary filmmaker Leighton Woodhouse. The latter was sharing his new Substack post about how corporate media rushed to defend the FBI and the state instead of exposing them.

Honestly, could anything be more clear? Unless you are like 80 years old, you have to be pretty willfully ignorant to trust or be guided by the MSM!
