“A secret Obama memo, the Presidential Information Technology Committee (PITC), regarding control of Presidential records could change everything in the DOJ’s politicized prosecution of Trump,” the organization announced Tuesday on Twitter/X.
… America First goes on to explain that “Obama’s PITC memo may have created a reasonable belief in President Trump that he, in fact, had such authority” to “possess or retain… classified documents.” That’s contrary to Smith’s 37-count indictment against Trump for “willful retention of national defense information; conspiracy to obstruct justice; withholding a document or record; corruptly concealing a document in a federal investigation,” among other charges.
… Going further, “if the records Trump allegedly destroyed are still preserved within the EOP or the U.S. Department of Defense as part of PITC-created information systems, then other claims in the indictment may be baseless.”

I gotta say, I wanted DeSantis over Trump in the primaries, though I’m very pleased with Trump’s past performance as President.
Sometimes I hear people who wanted DeSantis complain and say that he doesn’t have all the personal baggage of Trump and Leftists therefore would have been nicer to him.

Remember how they hammered McCain? Remember how they made a demon out of Romney? They were two of the milquetostiest, Lefty RINOs the world has ever seen, and yet they were demonized! Do you think that DeSantis would not have faced the same thing? Oh puh-leez!
It just doesn’t matter how Lefty the person the GOP nominates is. So I want the meanest, most conservative S.O.B. I can find. Look, I preferred DeSantis. And I thought (and still do) it was a HUGE mistake for Trump to call him juvenile names.
That said, Trump is the GOP nominee. And he is head and shoulders better than Biden. And don’t kid yourself, voting for RFK Jr. or Joe Manchin or some other Lefty knob is functionally voting for Biden. I just won’t do it.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) sparked calls for her removal from Congress over the weekend after she made remarks at an event in Minnesota in which she told a group of Somalis that she is advocating for Somalia — where she was born and raised during her early years — while serving in the U.S. Congress.
