there IS no humor in Leftism! Leftists are famously unfunny. Well, German and Russian cultures are famously unfunny. So it’s really no surprise.
Humor is based in going against the grain somehow. And Leftism is all about compliance and subservience and sucking up. They can’t laugh at themselves–THAT would “break the spell”and result in… humor.
So it is impossible for humor and Leftism to coexist, unless the fire is always aimed at “the other.” Even then, it’s not really funny. it’s just a barbed jab in search of “clapter” (see: Modern late-night hosts).
But there is simply no way Lefty “comedians” can or will jab at the prevailing Lefty orthodoxies. Like the old punkers, they are now bought and paid for by the mainstream. When was the last time you heard The Clash do Rock The Casbah?

An aging (and rather pathetic) Billy idol is now in a commercial hawking stuff. How mainstream! How orthodox! These folks are not fighting against culture, they ARE culture… Hence, they are not funny (and the music is most often horrible)
